Meet Courtney Crockett

Miss Maryland Congeniality 2010

Hey Maryland!! Courtney here, I just wanted to start off by saying how excited I am to spend this next year traveling the state, and representing Maryland throughout neighboring jurisdictions as your Miss Maryland Congeniality 2010!  I am looking forward to all the fun that we are going to have at all of the state events, as well as bethel events.  I plan to travel as much as possible, and hope to see you all through these travels.

Now some of you may not know much about me so I hope that if you ever have any questions for me feel free to ask.  But, here is a brief rundown of the basics. I am 16 years old, and part of the class of 2012 of Bohemia Manor High School. Sports are my life (along with jobies)! On an ordinary day you will find me running XC (cross country), playing basketball, running track, and pole vaulting. As you can tell I really enjoy running, so, in my free time (if any) I am ALWAYS on the run. And yes, I did say pole vaulting! While I love to get dressed up and spend the night at a dinner and dance, there is really nothing I do, that makes me feel such like myself, then running down a runway with an 11-13 foot pole and then throwing myself in the air! (if you are more curious, just ask me, and I would love tell you all about it!!)  Also, in Jobie world, I am the Honored Queen & PHQ of bethel #4 of Middletown, De. I was recently welcomed into the Jurisdictional Bethel (the equivalent of Grand Bethel) where I currently sit as Librarian.

So, now that you know a little more about me, I hope you all are as excited about this year as I am! I am very much looking forward to my travels with my partner in crime, Kara (and if you didn’t know the year Kara was the Miss Maryland Congeniality, I was the Miss Junior Jobie of Delaware, so we have had plenty of traveling experience together!), and if there is ever anything you need from your 2010 misses we are never more than a phone call away, don’t hesitate to ask.

As afore-mentioned, I look forward to each and every memory that I am going to receive from my year as Miss Maryland Congeniality 2010, and that when you look back on this year, you will have just as many as I have! I look forward to seeing you around the state, and be ready for lots of fun when we do!
